COVID QUARANTINE DIARIES: REALLY, TRUELY ALMOST DONE!

COVID QUARANTINE DIARIES: REALLY, TRUELY ALMOST DONE!

Tuesday   Tuesday was a very tough day I will admit.  Physically I feel fine. But mentally I was really depressed.  Brenda and I continue to play “Guess my Pulse Ox” which is pretty fun.  We’ve become quite familiar with each other’s oxygen levels and resting pulse rate. Sometimes I’ll hide and scare Brenda to see if I can get her heart rate a -jumping.  It’s fun. But didn’t have any fun-scaring in me today.  I just felt depressed.  Felt…

COVID QUARANTINE DIARIES: HOME STRETCH

COVID QUARANTINE DIARIES: HOME STRETCH

Monday Monday was quite a day.  We had sent away for a free at home Covid test and today was the day we took it.  It’s a spit in the tube test.  You have zoom with someone before you start your test and start spitting.  I assume this is so you don’t try and use someone else’s spit.  Gross!  The thought of testing in front of someone was already causing me spit anxiety.  While waiting in the zoom waiting room,…

COVID QUARANTINE DIARIES THE DAYS ARE STARTING TO RUN TOGETHER

COVID QUARANTINE DIARIES THE DAYS ARE STARTING TO RUN TOGETHER

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday The days really are not terribly eventful.  I have done a lot of walking in circles.  Binged the second season of Big Little Lies.  If you haven’t seen it, I recommend it.  Though, I fear I may be getting bed sores.  So, I decided I needed to move.  We biked to nowhere, putting our bikes on trainers on the deck outside of our bedroom.  Getting them up from the basement is super fun.  We’re on…

DAY SIX HUNDRED… WAIT, IT’S DAY FOUR AND FIVE

DAY SIX HUNDRED… WAIT, IT’S DAY FOUR AND FIVE

TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY I no longer have a fever, but non the less continue to take my temperature, because I can!  It’s normal or below normal.  More good news, on Tuesday our Pulse Oximeter arrived.  Now this is very exciting.  It comes with a handy lanyard with a quick release and is providing hours of fun for Brenda and I.  We put it on our finger and play “Guess my Oxygen level and resting heart rate!”  The curious thing is,…

COVID QUARANTINE DIARIES Day Three: It’s Starting To Sink In

COVID QUARANTINE DIARIES Day Three: It’s Starting To Sink In

MONDAY:  So now it’s starting to sink in.  Although we are still going to get an ‘official’ test.  I have a tiny hope that the at home test was incorrect. DENIAL (still) I’m starting to feel better, my fever is gone.  Still coughing that keeps me up at night, fatigue, low energy, but today is the day we are going on an outing! We make our way to the convention center downtown Minneapolis.  Navigate to the free parking ramp, and…

COVID QUARANTINE DIARIES Day two: Test Day

COVID QUARANTINE DIARIES Day two: Test Day

Sunday. I was still feeling like a baby, Brenda kept reassuring me that it is just a cold.  I was skeptical being that I still had a fever.  (I had taken my temperature 17 times with our new miraculous working thermometer.)  Also, I had been cleaning the kitchen with bleach spray; I shoved my face right in the sink and took a huge sniff.  Nothing. I could smell nothing.  I sprayed more bleach cleaner, HUGE inhale with my face all…

COVID QUARANTINE DIARIES

COVID QUARANTINE DIARIES

This is COVID from my meager perspective.  I in no way intend to minimalize anyone else’s experience nor the seriousness of this virus.  I am so fortunate that I am vaccinated, it is because of this that I am NOT seriously sick.  (I also realize that some with breakthrough cases do become very ill). Both Brenda and I have been very careful and will continue to not become complacent.  Again, this is only my personal experience. DAY ONE: (PRE- TEST)…

MARCH SNOW!

MARCH SNOW!

Roo really loves the snow. However; she DOES NOT like Snowmen! She is the master snowman killer! Poor Brenda, all she wanted was to build a tiny snowman. Please enjoy.

ALERT! 33 Hours until Daylight Saving Time!

ALERT! 33 Hours until Daylight Saving Time!

Seriously people keep practicing. Don’t let Sunday morning come and you have no idea what is going on! How many clocks do you have in your home? Do you really know how to change them all? What about the one on the microwave? The stove? The coffee maker?? Here I am trying not to panic. Roo got me up at 4:55 a.m. This is Roo after she woke me up at 4:55 a.m. NOT panicking.

ALERT! Five days until Daylight Saving Time!

ALERT! Five days until Daylight Saving Time!

ALERT!!  Now is the time to begin practicing for daylight savings time.  What is that you say?  Practicing?  Yes.  QUICK:  What time will it be next week at this same time?  See, you do need to practice. Something to remember; you need to know the current time in order to really reap the benefits of practicing. I just asked Brenda, “Quick, what time will it be at this time next week?” “I don’t know.” she said “I don’t know what…
