Improv Workshops and Classes
You can be funny and silly and overcome your anxiety of being in front of people! This can be an intensive 2 – 4 hour session or a weekly class. It can culminate in a performance or showcase. You will surprise yourself as you work with a group of others and actually perform! The best thing about Improv? You’re not alone!!
Unleash Your Voice! – a storytelling masterclass
This requires no experience. I teach participants storytelling skills and techniques in a fun, safe environment using improv and theatre games. Working in a format similar to The Moth, we begin with a theme and end up at a microphone sharing stories out loud! A wonderful way to share our cultures, experiences, life challenges and joy – building community.
Yes, you can get up and share a story – storytelling is a powerful form of validation, it builds confidence as storytellers reflect on their own resiliency and strength. By sharing our narratives we build authentic connections, we encourage empathy and most importantly discover we are not alone.
Not Your Average (Boring) Professional Development Workshop
A teambuilding workshop like none other. I combine performance and improv based activities to meet specific objective. Honestly, the last thing many want in PD workshop is to have to DO something. My approach is sensitive to this resistance and my goal is to safely allow people to move out of their own comfort zone, learn tools that are actually affective in a work setting, AND have a blast!
Artist in Residence
Designed for a classroom setting. With more than 30 years as an educator working with young people of all ages and abilities, I bring this experience to the classroom working closely with other educators to meet objectives. These residencies can be anything from creating and performing a play, improv, storytelling, scene reading and writing, or creating short videos. The possibilities are endless!
